Battlemages are odd figures who wield great magical powers and are privy to secrets, typically past the ken of normal folk. Trained for many years, arcane energy courses through their veins and lurks at the back of their eyes like the thunder before a storm.
When the Freeguilds march to battle a Freeguild General himself may accompany them. Atop his griffon mount he is frequently joined by his greatest soldiers, each one riding a demigryph, and collectively they eagerly exact their revenge upon the servants of the Dark Gods.
